WHAT INDIA COULD LOSE WITH CHINA

OVERVIEW

India used to consider China as a brother until 1962 when China opened a war on India. since then the rivalry between India and China have never ended.
Doubtlessly 2017 was a tough year for Sino-Indian relations. It witnessed the prolonged Doklam military standoff and intensifying strategic competition between two sides which has significantly impacted Sino-Indian relations. There have been a set of disputes between the two nations in which the boundary dispute between two nations is the most confusing and strategic dispute for both of the countries and even Google.

Along with the Taiwan region of Arunachal Pradesh, the southern part of Sikkim is also claimed by the dragon. Apart from the border dispute another major irritant for China has been Dalai Lama. Tibet's spiritual leader, who in 1956(along with tens of thousands of his disciples) was granted refuge in India. where he enjoys a special status. china considers Dalai Lama a dangerous separatist, who even today has greater influence over Tibetans. although India accepts the autonomous state as an integral part of China and rejects any India-china activities from the Indian soil, still China suspects India's intention regarding Dalai Lama. It has even objected Dalai Lama visit's to Arunachal Pradesh in 2009 as an anti-china stand.

Although these fair amount of disputes between two Asian superpowers ensures a long and healthy rivalry. the trade relations of India and China tells another epic story.
It has been said that the 21st century will be the century of Asia but the question will it be possible if India and China remain as it is with its dispute. The trade relations that India and China shares is the no1 factor that will help the 21st century to marry Asia and China is well aware of this and is efficiently increasing it's trade relations with India. It is now the turn of Indian diplomats to increase the export amount of Indian goods and manufactures to China as the trade gap between the two nations is huge.suggested by the data of commerce ministry Indians trade deficit with China increased more than two folds (219%) from $16 billion in 2007-08 to $51 billion in 2016-17. The total trade between India and China was $72 billion FY 2017, about $8biliion higher than with the united states, which is India's second-largest trade partner.

after the commencement of BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) in India Chinese goods, especially smartphones and plastic products have flooded the Indian subcontinent. although the Chinese phone's specs were nothing in comparison to other phones available in the Indian market. With the heavy criticism from phone review channels, Chinese smartphone companies yet managed to grab the Indian market with the help of Bollywood.
Indias major export of goods from China made a huge trade gap between two nations and for the solution, Indian former prime minister Narendra Damodar Das Modi visited China, India, and China have agreed to work towards bridging the fast-widening trade gap between the two nations. The Indian government has adopted a three-pronged strategy to narrow the trade gap with china. the first is to identify the area where India is strong and can contribute to the Chinese economy and to then seek effective access from China in these areas. such areas include IT/ITES, food products, pharmacy, agriculture and automobile components.

china is already India's no one trading partner and from China's side, India already is one of its top 10 trading partners and is growing much faster than the other nine.since, it is most certain that by 2050, India and China will be the two largest economies in the world. It is inevitable that bilateral trade between them will become the most important economic relationship in the world.so, if by means of any of the disputes that India and China shares both the countries engage in to war and the trade relations comes to an end the dream of Asia to marry the 21st century will surely came to an end..

CONCLUSION
india and China need to work together to bring an overall development of asia for the welfare of world as the two can have a better say jointely.
